National Pike Days

The National Pike played a vital role in the history of Nemacolin Castle and Brownsville.

National Pike Days is an annual celebration of the "Road That Built The Nation".  The National Pike opened up the frontier to Americans when it was built in the nineteenth century.

As pioneers traveled the National Road, the trading post in Brownsville was a stop for rest, supplies and maybe taking a boat further west.

Stop by Nemacolin Castle, like the pioneers did, as you travel across the National Road.

Usually the third weekend in May, but always check this site for specific dates, times and activities.
